Angel’s Palace – artwork and performances at Brisbane Writers’ Festival celebrating Alexis Wright’s “Carpentaria”

Angel’s Palace, by artist Gordon Hookey, was built for the September 2017 Brisbane Writers’ Festival.

Inspired by the character of Angel Day, in Wright’s Carpentaria, the artwork was immersive and accompanied by live performance, storytelling and talks exploring Indigenous art, history and culture.
